FFSA French Circuit Championship, Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit

It is THE flagship circuit championship in France. Since it gave pride of place to cars in the GT4 category, the FFSA GT French Championship has enjoyed unfailing success. Different ingredients make up this recipe: the variety of brands and models presented, the mix between professional, semi-professional and amateur drivers, the intense battles on the track during two 60-minute races... For its eighth season in the GT4 format, this will once again be the championship to follow in France!

As headliner, the FFSA GT brilliantly assumes its role as locomotive of the FFSA French Circuit Championship, attracting an ever-increasing audience (more than 100.000 spectators in 2023). Good news also for the teams, the drivers, their partners and the support races, delighted to be part of such prestigious and popular events.

The pride of the French Motor Sports Federation, Formula 4 with its blue-white-red sauce is recognized throughout the world for the quality of its organization and its controlled costs. After karting, F4 is the bottom of the “single-seater pyramid” for all those who dream of Formula 1. Many drivers, French or foreign, have studied in the single-seaters of the FFSA Academy. Over the last 15 years, Jean-Éric Vergne, Stoffel Vandoorne and Pierre Gasly have reached F1, others (like Théo Pourchaire, Victor Martins and Isack Hadjar) are knocking at the door.

But beyond F1, the French FFSA Formula 4 Championship has allowed many drivers to learn in a high-level competition before then turning to GT or Endurance. The examples of former participants becoming official representatives for a manufacturer are so numerous that it would be impossible to cite them all here, but one thing is certain: French Formula 4 is a breeding ground for young talents!

Launched in 2021, the FFSA Tourism French Championship is growing. Marking the return to our country of a multi-brand competition for touring cars, the TC France – as it is also called – offers a wide variety of models. For pure Sprint fans, it's ideal with no less than four 25-minute races per weekend!

The different classes allow drivers with very different profiles to find their playing field, depending on their experience and their budget. In addition to excellent media feedback, the FFSA Tourisme offers prizes which allow the winners to progress in the categories. Among them, the scholarship offered to the champion of the TC category to move into FFSA GT the following year confirms the role of this championship as a sector!

The arrival of the Ginetta GTA Academy will be one of the new features of the 2024 season and marks the growing interest of manufacturers in this expanding championship.

With its tubular chassis and a 2 horsepower 230-liter Renault engine, the Mitjet 2L offers an excellent formula for young pilots or gentlemen drivers. The Mitjet France Trophy also benefits from the aura of the FFSA French Circuit Championship by being present in five of the six events of the season. Sprinting is favored with four 20-minute races per weekend and the races are generally rather... explosive.

For drivers and teams alike, the Mitjet France Trophy is one of the routes to the FFSA French Circuit Championship.

The Clio Cup Series is a must for promotion cups. The 5th generation of the Clio Cup is in fact the descendant of the legendary R8 Gordini Cup launched in 1966. This shows that, on the Renault side, we know one-make races!

With its 1330cc turbo engine, the Clio Cup develops 200 horsepower and is a huge success internationally. In 2024, the Clio Cup Series will include nine events in Europe, including three as part of the FFSA French Circuit Championship: the Nogaro Easter Cups, the Magny-Cours meeting and the SRO Racing Festival.

There we find both young drivers coming to take their first steps in GT (like the 2023 champion Lorens Lecertua who will move to FFSA GT in 2024) and gentlemen drivers.

Of the six meetings for the coming season: two will take place in our country, each time as part of the FFSA French Circuit Championship. The A arrow competition will take off during the Nogaro Easter Cups and will then return for the SRO Racing Festival.

Also organized by SRO Motorsports Group, the British GT Championship is one of the most prolific national championships in Europe. We find in the British competition both GT3s and GT4s and the philosophy is the same as in the French competition with a mix between professional, semi-professional and amateur drivers.

Among its seven meetings, the British GT usually makes an outing outside the United Kingdom. This year, Spa Speedweek is on the program, one week before the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge France is in a way the little brother of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. More aimed at beginners or amateur drivers, this series recognized by Porsche France offers drivers a choice between different types of cars: 718 Cayman GT4 RS ClubSport or the oldest Cayman GT4 ClubSport (718 and 981), but also the different generations of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. This series will integrate the FFSA French Circuit Championship during the Nogaro Easter Cups to launch its 2024 season.

Powered by motorcycle engines, the Legends Car have a fairly high level of sympathy among the public thanks to their American car look from the 1930s. With fairly limited handling and a particularly crucial aspiration phenomenon, they offer sprint races that are as spectacular as they are competitive. In 2024, the Legends Car Cup will join the FFSA French Circuit Championship during the Lédenon event.
