The Alpine ELF Cup Series will be integrated into the FFSA French GT Championship from 2026

Organized since 2018 on the most beautiful European tracks, the Alpine ELF Cup Series will enter a new era in 2026 by joining – for at least two seasons – the French FFSA GT Championship.

While continuing to compete with each other, the Alpine A110 Cups will now be integrated into the FFSA French GT Championship, with all the advantages that this implies.

On the one hand, the competitors of the Alpine ELF Cup Series will now participate in the flagship races of the weekend and will thus benefit from all the popular appeal and media impact of the FFSA French GT Championship, which, in addition to the constant development of its various social networks, can boast of seeing all its races broadcast for free on the GTWorld YouTube channel, which has more than 800.000 subscribers! In addition, Automoto la chaîne has been the official broadcaster of the championship for 5 years and thus ensures a presence on so-called "classic" television.

For practical reasons, the Alpine A110 Cup cars will be housed in the Pit Lane garages, with some exceptions, for added comfort. Like all other FFSA GT competitors, drivers will be invited to autograph sessions, and Grid Walks will allow them to invite their loved ones and partners to experience the unique atmosphere of a starting grid just moments before the lights turn green.

The sporting regulations of the FFSA French GT Championship will be applied, with its "semi-endurance" format during five major events on the calendar. Between the famous Nogaro Easter Cups in early April and the finale at the Paul Ricard Circuit in early October, three prestigious circuits are on the calendar: Dijon-Prenois in mid-May, Spa-Francorchamps in June (to open the week of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa) and Magny-Cours in early August, with a superb summer event during which the FFSA French GT Championship will once again share the bill with the GT World Challenge.

By joining the FFSA French GT Championship, the Alpine ELF Cup Series competitors will now compete in two 60-minute races (a new 2-hour format is being considered for Spa-Francorchamps in a confrontation with the British GT drivers), which means that two drivers will now share the same car. This major new feature for Alpine ELF Cup Series regulars will make the series even more accessible. While maintaining the performance level and qualities of the Alpine A110 Cup (300 horsepower for 1030 kg), the costs of participation and running can be divided. The Alpine ELF Cup Series is therefore more than ever a gateway to the world of GT!

As in the FFSA GT, two separate classifications will be established within the Alpine ELF Cup Series with a Pro-Am classification (for drivers classified Gold or Silver by the FIA associated with a Bronze driver) and an Am classification (with two Bronze drivers). Television and media coverage is provided for each of these classes and each will have its podium after each race.

In addition, a Junior ranking – reserved for those under 25 – will be established taking into account only individual performances during qualifying practice and the Junior driver's relays.

Founder of the Alpine ELF Cup Series and promoter since 2018, Signatech will continue to provide both technical inspections and on-track assistance, including the supply of spare parts. Signatech will also offer attractive incentives in the form of parts credits or discounts on the purchase of an Alpine A110 GT4. The first Pro-Am team will receive €40.000, the first Am €20.000, and the first Junior will receive €30.000.

Strategically speaking, the partnership between Signatech and SRO Motorsports Group allows for the creation of a pyramid that can take a young talent from the Clio Cup to GT3 in a few years. Organized by Signatech since 2024, the Clio Cup Series offers a €35.000 prize fund to move up to the Alpine ELF Cup Series, where Pro-Am and Junior prizes can be combined to allow progression to the FFSA French GT Championship the following year, this time with the Alpine A110 GT4. The winner of the Junior classification of the Alpine ELF Cup Series will then be able to participate in the SRO GT Academy of the FFSA French GT Championship and aim for the €150.000 purse to move up to GT2 or GT3 the following year.

Philippe Sinault, Chairman and CEO of the Signature Group

"This integration into the FFSA French GT Championship is a key step in the history of our discipline. It also responds to the growing demand to return to a format more focused on endurance racing while offering our drivers and teams the opportunity to evolve in the most competitive environment of French GT. This new shift also allows us to preserve all of Alpine's DNA: revealing talent and paving the way for them to a potential professional career."

Laurent Gaudin, General Manager of the French FFSA GT Championship

“We are very pleased to see the Alpine ELF Cup Series join the FFSA French GT Championship in 2026. Alpine is a name that speaks to every car enthusiast! Integrating this prestigious brand cup into our championship will allow us to offer competitors, young and old, a new step towards access to high-level GT racing. SRO Motorsports Group will manage the race organization and the sporting side of things, while Signatech will continue to manage the technical side. I believe that competitors in the Alpine ELF Cup Series will be able to benefit from the best of both worlds: the attractiveness of the FFSA French GT Championship and the excellent quality/price/fun ratio of the Alpine A110 Cup.”
