SUPERBIKES

RACE 1: DI MEGLIO TAKES BIG POINTS

In the first race of the day in the premier class, pole-sitter Kenny Foray (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) maintained his advantage and led after the first lap. Mike Di Meglio (Honda CBO – Michelin) quickly moved into second place, once again making a lightning start on his Honda #36. Christophe Ponsson (BMW – Michelin) was in third position, with several riders close behind: Alan Techer (Honda CBO – Michelin), in fourth and particularly strong at the start of the race, followed by Jérémy Guarnoni (BMW MDS – Dunlop) in fifth and Corentin Perolari (Yamaha Moto Ain – Pirelli) in sixth. Grégory Leblanc's Ducati #38 (Ducati TWR-Pirelli) held seventh place, ahead of the talented Martin Renaudin (Yamaha Supported Team Moto&GP Addict – Pirelli) in eighth. Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Supported Team 41 Performance – Michelin), 9th, is also on the lookout and pushing to quickly move up.

The top three positions are occupied by three experienced riders, separated by less than a second. Kenny Foray remains in the lead and must hold off Mike Di Meglio in second. Alan Techer has dropped to third, behind the two leaders and under threat from Jérémy Guarnoni and his BMW #11, currently in fourth. The top five is completed by Mathieu Gines on the Yamaha #41, who continues his impressive climb up the order.

Halfway through the race, the red flag was waved. Grégory LEBLANC who was pushing to get back up suffered a heavy fall, fortunately without too much seriousness. The drivers enter the pit lane and wait for the restart. They will set off for 5 laps with the starting order of the positions acquired in the race.

New start, same marching order. The top 5 remains unchanged with Kenny FORAY in the lead who pushes his machine to its limits to try to break away from his pursuers. Their names are Mike DI MEGLIO, second and Christophe PONSSON, 3rd. Mathieu GINES, still in observation in 4th place, begins to string together the best laps in the race to get closer to the top 3. In 5th position we find Corentin PEROLARI.

The leader makes a mistake! Kenny FORAY falls in turn 7 with 2 laps to go. He let Mike Di MEGLIO and his Honda n°36 slip away to victory in front of the experienced Christophe PONSSON, second, and the formidable Mathieu GINES, 3rd who offered a high-flying show to the spectators gathered around the circuit. In 4th position we find Alan TECHER, who struggled to keep up with the leaders. The first young person is Corentin PEROLARI, 5th overall. In 6th and 7th position, we find in order Jérémy GUARNONI and Martin RENAUDIN. Axel MAURIN (Yamaha – Pirelli) is 8th just ahead of the talented Killian AEBI (Suzuki LMS – Pirelli), 9th overall and second in the young category. Kevin TRUEB (BMW – Pirelli) completes the top 10. Chris LEESH (Honda – Michelin) is 11th.

Finally the young podium is completed by Ludovic CAUCHY (Yamaha – Pirelli), 12th overall.

RACE 2: FORAY AS BOSS

The Superbike grid is packed with exceptional riders, all eager to shine. As the lights go out, Mike Di Meglio (Honda CBO – Michelin) gets the best start and takes first place, edging out Christophe Ponsson (BMW – Michelin) in second. Jérémy Guarnoni's BMW (BMW MDS – Dunlop) is on the attack and holds third place, while Mathieu Gines' Yamaha (Yamaha Supported Team 41 Performance – Michelin) is fourth. Alan Techer (Honda CBO – Michelin) completes the top five. The first young rider, Corentin Perolari (Yamaha Moto Ain – Pirelli), makes a strong start, placing sixth, and has to contend with champion Kenny Foray (BMW Tecmas – Michelin), in seventh, right behind him.

The Toulouse GUARNONI pushes and manages to pass PONSSON, second, then DI MEGLIO, first to take the lead. He only led the race for a short while as he fell, without gravity, at the Nurburgring bend and returned to the pits. Mike DI MEGLIO therefore recovers the first position followed closely by Christophe PONSSON, 2nd, himself under threat from Mathieu GINES, 3rd and Kenny FORAY, now 4th, over-motivated who is continuing a high-flying comeback. The No. 5 Honda of Alan TECHER, 5th, is slightly behind. He still precedes Corentin PEROLARI, 6th, Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Supported Team Moto&GP Addict – Pirelli), 7th and Axel MAURIN (Yamaha – Pirelli), 8th.

The leading men continue to attack each other and the first 4 places are still extremely shared with a few laps to go. FORAY, PONSSON, DI MEGLIO, GINES in order can still hope to win the race. The last laps of the track promise to be particularly tight. A fabulous spectacle for the 2.000 visitors who came to watch the battle.

At the crossing of the line it is the reigning champion FORAY who wins by a short head at 0'126 over the second PONSSON who will have made a strong impression this weekend and who once again climbs onto the second step of the podium. Mike DI MEGLIO, 3rd, still scored big points, which bodes well for the second part of the season. Mathieu GINES once again flamboyant finished in a frustrating 4th place in front of Alan TECHER, 5th decidedly delicate in the race this weekend. The first young person is Corentin PEROLARI, 6th overall. Le Mans Martin RENAUDIN finished 7th ahead of Axel MAURIN, 8th, Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) second youngster and 9th overall, Chris LEESH (Honda – Michelin) was 10th. Yvan LAETZIG (Yamaha – Pirelli), 13th overall, complete podium in the youth category.

TEMPORARY SITUATION:

1 – Mike DI MEGLIO – 147 points
2 – Kenny FORAY – 129 points
3 – Mathieu GINES – 118 points
4 – Alan TECHER – 116 points
5 – Corentin PEROLARI (Challenger) – 96 points

SUPERSPORT 600

RACE 1: GREGORIO CONTINUES

The leading men get off to a thunderous start with Johan GIMBERT (Yamaha – Pirelli) as leader, who attacks very hard from the first turns. He is followed by Loïc ARBEL (Yamaha – Pirelli), second, who tries to stay in contact. In 3rd row we find Enzo DE LA VEGA (Yamaha – Pirelli), closely followed by two other strong men: Matthieu GREGORIO (Yamaha – Pirelli), 4th and Matthieu LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Michelin), 5th. Before the end of the first lap, change of leader since GIMBERT shoots straight at Château d'Eau and lets his pursuers slip away. The five leading pilots engage in Dantesque battles.

The #23 Yamaha of Loic ARBEL, first, now leads the way and must control the repeated attacks from DE LA VEGA, second, and GREGORIO, 3rd, all three of whom are less than a second away. Matthieu LUSSIANA and Pierre LAURENT (Triumph – Michelin) complete the top 5 in this order. In 6th position, we find the first challenger Vincent FALCONE (Yamaha – Pirelli) threatened by Johan GIMBERT who comes up lap after lap, 7th.

The mid-race is still just as eventful at the front. Loic ARBEL is able to hold back Enzo DE LA VEGA's machine which takes the lead. Matthieu GREGORIO takes advantage of this and takes his wheel to snatch second place. The top 3 is now composed in the order of GREGORIO, first under the threat of DE LA VEGA, second and ARBEL in another rhythm, 3rd. Johan GIMBERT is now 4th and seems able to get the podium in the final laps. In 5th position we find Matthieu LUSSIANA who is ahead of Pierre LAURENT and his Triumph n°11, 6th. Vincent FALCONE is still the first of the challengers in 7th place ahead of another rider in the category, Gabin CAZARD (Yamaha – Pirelli), 8th.

In the final laps, Matthieu GREGORIO took first place and kept it until the end. He won ahead of the experienced Enzo DE LA VEGA, who took the second step of the podium before Loic ARBEL, 3rd who had a string of good results. In 4th place we find Johan GIMBERT, certainly frustrated by his mistake at the start of the race, despite a good comeback. The driver of the Yamaha no. 77 will certainly be keen to catch up in race 2. The top 5 is completed by Matthieu LUSSIANA. In 6th place, we find Vincent FALCONE, author of a successful race, first challenger. Gabin CAZARD is 7th overall, second challenger. Pierre LAURENT, 8th ahead of Hugo ROBERT (Yamaha – Pirelli), 9th. Finally, the challenger podium is completed by Bartholomé PERRIN (Yamaha – Michelin), 10th overall.

RACE 2: JOHAN GIMBERT IN THE FINAL

The #77 Yamaha of Johan GIMBERT (Yamaha – Pirelli) got off to an ideal start and took the lead at the end of the first lap of this second race. Loic ARBEL (Yamaha – Pirelli), in second position, follows closely so as not to fall behind and maintain his chances of victory. Just behind them, Matthieu GREGORIO (Yamaha – Pirelli), 4th, and Enzo DE LA VEGA (Yamaha – Pirelli), 5th, are fighting for 4th position. Mathieu LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Michelin) is 6th but slightly behind. Vincent FALCONE (Yamaha – Pirelli) is the first challenger in 7th place.

GIMBERT leads the dance without gaining enough lead to shelter himself from GREGORIO, second after having braked ARBEL, 3rd and slowing down. These battles in the first 3 ranks are the business of DE LA VEGA, 4th, only 0'180 who is pushing hard to secure a second podium this weekend. Further on, LUSSIANA occupies 5th place, more than 10 seconds behind its predecessor. We then find FALCONE, 6th and Hugo ROBERT (Yamaha – Pirelli), 7th, able to move up the rankings.

With 5 laps remaining, the battle raged for the first two places, GREGORIO seized first position for a while in front of GIMBERT before the latter took back the reins of the race and pushed to secure the victory. We thus find in order: GIMBERT, 1st, GREGORIO, 2nd, DE LA VEGA, 3rd, ARBEL, 4th and LUSSIANA, 5th. Robert's #51 Yamaha managed to grab a few places and found itself 6th but under threat from the young FALCONE, 7th in attack.

Crossing the line, Johan GIMBERT won his 3rd race of the season. He is ahead of Matthieu GREGORIO, second who leaves with the point for the best lap in the race and Enzo DE LA VEGA, 3rd. The latter climbed onto the podium for the second time this weekend. At the foot of the box, Loic ARBEL was unable to hold on to the top positions but still pocketed big points for the championship. Matthieu LUSSIANA once again took 5th place ahead of the first in the challenger category, Vincent FALCONE, 6th, who managed to get the better of Hugo ROBERT who finished 7th. Gabin CAZARD (Yamaha – Pirelli), second on the challenger podium, once again finished 8th in the scratch ahead of Laurent Pierre (Triumph – Michelin), 9th and the 3rd challenger Bartholomé PERRIN (Yamaha – Michelin), 10th in the scratch.

2 – Matthieu GREGORIO – 123 points
3 – Enzo DE LA VEGA – 120 points

RACE 1: NEW FACES SOWING TROUBLE

The two world drivers Julio GARCIA GONZALEZ (Kawasaki – Pirelli), poleman and Kevin SABATUCCI (Kawasaki – Pirelli), second on the grid, got off to an ideal start. Killian ROSSIGNOL (Kawasaki – Pirelli) and Cyprien BABY (Yamaha – Pirelli) imitate them and place themselves in 3rd and 4th places respectively, relegating D'Jefferson DELBOSC (Kawasaki – Pirelli) to 5th place. Note, Justine PEDEMONTE (Yamaha – Pirelli) sets off perfectly and immediately attacks the leading men.

After the first laps of the track, Kevin SABATUCCI took the lead but kept the Spaniard Julio GARCIA GONZALEZ behind him at only 0'203. The two men escape and distance the rest of the peloton. In 3rd row, Killian ROSSIGNOL leads a small train made up of 4 drivers all less than a second from each other. We find Justine PEDEMONTE, 4th who continues her comeback, Cyprien BABY, 5th just ahead of D'Jefferson DELBOSC now 6th.

At mid-race, it was GARCIA GONZALEZ who regained first position and this time tried to distance himself from SABATUCCI, second, without succeeding. In 3rd place, ROSSIGNOL finds its rhythm and distances its pursuers. BABY, 4th, got back in front of PEDEMONTE, 5th. DELBOSC falls (without gravity) at turn 3 and tries to restart but falls to the bottom of the ranking. It is now Ryan CHAUVEAU (Kawasaki – Pirelli), discreet until now, who occupies 6th place.

Positions continue to change between the two leading men until they cross the finish line. It's Kevin SABATUCCI who has the last word and wins! Julio GARCIA GONZALEZ finished second and ahead of Killian ROSSIGNOL who completed the podium. In 4th place, we find Cyprien BABY (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Justine PEDEMONTE (Yamaha – Pirelli) complete the top 5. Pierre VERRIER (Yamaha – Pirelli) is 6th and Ryan CHAUVEAU, finishes 7th.

RACE 2: GARCIA GONZALEZ AHEAD OF SABATUCCI

It is important to note that these two drivers present this weekend under “WildCard” status cannot score points for the French championship.

For the moment it would therefore be D'Jefferson DELBOSC (Kawasaki – Pirelli), currently 3rd, who would score the most points for the classification. The latter is followed by the talented Cyprien BABY (Yamaha – Pirelli), 4th in pursuit of yet another podium this season. Killian ROSSIGNOL (Kawasaki – Pirelli) closes the top 5. In 6th position, Justine PEDEMONTE (Yamaha – Pirelli) keeps a good pace and seems able to catch up with the leading men.

With 5 laps to go, the battle is still raging between GARCIA GONZALEZ, 1st and SABATUCCI, 2nd who are well behind the rest of the drivers by more than 20 seconds. In 3rd position we still find D'Jefferson DELBOSC who must work to keep the young Killian ROSSIGNOL, 4th and guard of two other very close drivers: Cyprien BABY, 5th and Ryan CHAUVEAU (Kawasaki – Pirelli), 6th both less than 0'200 from 3rd place.

Ultimately the positions remain unchanged until the checkered flag. Julio GARCIA GONZALEZ wins ahead of Kevin SABATUCCI second and D'Jefferson DELBOSC, 3rd, who is smiling again after his fall this morning. The rest of the top 5 is completed by Killian ROSSIGNOL, 4th, Cyprien BABY, 5th. Ryan CHAUVEAU finished 6th.

TEMPORARY SITUATION:

1 – Ryan CHAUVEAU – 140 points
2 – Cyprien BABY – 132 points

RACE 2 SPRINT: PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT, FAMILY PARTY

After some great battles yesterday during Race 1, the sidecar riders are back today for a 6-lap sprint race. This time, the duo LEGLISE / DRUEL (F600) takes off the best and maintains the advantage of its pole. The No. 33 crew is once again closely followed by the PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT (F600) family crew who intend to regain the race lead as quickly as possible. WYSSEN / SALMON (F600) is in 3rd, further behind, almost 3 seconds behind second, PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI is in 4th position, first in the F2 category.

The crews VINET / VINET (F600), 4th and BARBIER / REGONDEAU (F600), 5th, quickly fell behind, more than 10 seconds behind the leader.

As the laps go by, LEGLISE / DRUEL sees its first pursuer, the sidecar n°74 of PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT, second, very quickly return to its wheels. The family duo found the opening and took first place, taking WYSSEN / SALMON with them, now 3rd and losing pace.

At the halfway point the order of the top 5 is completely renewed. After a few observation laps, chassis no. 41 from WYSSEN / SALMON found the fault and now took the lead then took off. It is ahead of that of PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT, second and of VINET / VINET, 3rd. In the 4th and 5th positions we find in the order BARBIER / REGONDEAU then LEGLISE / DRUEL. The sidecar of PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI (F2), 4th, is the first in the short chassis category.

When crossing the line, the order remains the same. WYSSEN / SALMON wins with 4'811 seconds ahead of PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT, second. The third step of the podium is occupied by VINET / VINET.
