HECTARES OF BUILDINGS

In order to offset its carbon emissions, the Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours has planted 2,500 plants, including 400 trees and 5 kilometres of natural hedges. This has allowed the Circuit to be certified under the Verified Carbon Standard program.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

In France, 26 kilos of waste are produced per second. However, this sector employs more than 115,000 people which enables France to recycle more than 17.5 million tonnes of materials.

The Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours has always sought to have an eco-responsible approach, so various measures have been implemented to mitigate the ecological impact of their activity.

Containers removed per year.
This represents 120 m³ of recycled tyres per year.

Specific areas created for on-site waste treatment.

1

Acquisition of a compactor to collect waste internally.

A tyre takes over 100 years to degrade. Remember to recycle them by giving them to your dealer or by depositing them in the containers dedicated for this purpose on the site.

This way a recycled tyre makes it possible to develop public utility installations.

SOLAR CARPORT PARKING

3 car parks have been equipped with a total area of 28,000 m² of photovoltaic canopies.

28,000 m² of solar panels have been erected on the P5, P7, P9 car parks, which will be used to shelter vehicles whilst at the same time recovering solar energy. They produce 5,250 MWh per year, which is three times the annual consumption of the Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours.

This facility enables the Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours to be a circuit with positive energy.

The primary objective is to reduce the circuit’s CO2 consumption, by balancing the consumption and production of energy. With the canopies, this balance is covered by more than 272%.

The advantage is to feed the electricity produced directly into the local electric grid.
