Grand Prix de France Historique
30 June, 1er and 2 July 2017
It will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the summer. At the invitation of the FFSA, the Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours will be at the heart of all motorsport fans during the first weekend of July by hosting the Grand Prix de France Historique, for the first time.
The name of the Grand Prix de France Historique, the mere mention of which refers to whole chapters in the history of motor racing, has given the FFSA the responsibility of putting together a programme which takes us back to the heyday of the past decades. How exciting that this is going to happen here! Looking at the content of the seven grids that are already confirmed, the Grand Prix de France Historique will, without doubt, rise to the rank of the most prestigious event of its kind.
The result is living up to our expectation. From the Maseratis and Ferraris of the Fangio years to Lotus, Tyrrell, Ligier and Williams of the 70s and 80s, not forgetting the Lotus and Cooper cars from the beginning of the sixties, none of which will be lacking when the ecstatically happy fans are seated in the grandstands at the Circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours. This event will be unique and outstanding, as it will be their one and only appearance in a race this year on French soil for all of these Formula 1 cars.
And the Grand Prix de France Historique will not only be limited to demonstrating the evolution of F1. Formula 2 and Formula 3 cars will be also be at the party illustrating the golden age of the 1970s and the beginning of the next decade.
The calendar of events is subject to change by the relevant sporting federations or the organisers of the events.
